The Bowen Medical Scholarship was established in 1995 by the family of Otis R. Bowen in recognition of Dr. Bowen’s service to our town, state, and country as a family doctor, Governor, and Presidential Cabinet member. Recipients of this scholarship

The Bowen Family Medical Scholarship focuses on meeting the health needs of rural communities by supporting primary-care medical students as they work through medical school and residency programs. This scholarship will provide one or more annual scholarships to a Marshall County medical student preparing for a career in rural primary care medicine.
