The Jake Spaid Scholarship was established in 2005 under the Dollars for Scholars umbrella by his family. Previously the family awarded their own scholarships in 2003 and 2004. Jake attended Bremen High School until he was killed in a car accident in 2002. Jake is remembered as a friendly, personable, and fun-loving young man who treated everyone equally. This scholarship is designed to award a Bremen graduate who gives their best and demonstrates a great work ethic, an opportunity to pursue a post-secondary career.
